No prior musical experience is needed for any of our courses. Whether you have never touched a piano, never heard a Raga, or never opened a DAW — we start from exactly where you are. Our instructor's 15 years of teaching beginners at Beaconhouse School System means you are in experienced hands from day one.
Your instructor is the founder of Humanity Music Academy, with over 15 years of full-time piano and vocal training experience at the Beaconhouse School System. Beyond teaching, they are an active performer (watch the fast piano videos on our Proof of Work page) and a practising audio engineer with a real portfolio of mastered recordings.
All classes are conducted live via video call — using Zoom, Google Meet, or any platform that suits you best. Sessions are fully interactive: you can ask questions in real time, receive immediate feedback, and have a genuine conversation with your instructor. This is not a course of videos you watch alone — it is a real, personal teaching relationship.

All that matters is a stable internet connection and a time zone we can both work with. We schedule flexibly to accommodate students across different parts of the world.
Yes — and this is one of our strongest areas. The instructor spent 15+ years teaching piano specifically to children at an elite school. Teaching kids music online requires patience, creativity, and the ability to hold a young student's attention through a screen. We are very well equipped for this, and young learners typically make rapid progress with us.
You will need access to a piano or keyboard to practise between sessions. A basic digital keyboard (61 or 76 keys with touch sensitivity) is perfectly sufficient to begin. If you are unsure what to buy, message us before enrolling — we are happy to give honest recommendations for different budgets.
Most students notice clear, tangible improvement within the first two to three months of consistent lessons. By the end of month one, you will understand the keyboard layout, basic hand position, and be able to play simple melodic pieces. Progress depends on how much you practise between sessions — but you will never feel stuck.

No, you do not need to play an instrument. The course is designed for anyone who wants to understand and appreciate classical Indian music at a deeper level.
Yes — the Course of Ragas is a one-time payment of $50. It includes complete structured course content covering Raga theory, history, cultural context, ear training exercises, and study of popular Ragas including Bhairav, Yaman, Bhimpalasi, and more. Live Q&A sessions are also included.
It is designed exactly for students like this. We begin from first principles — what makes Indian classical music different, how to listen to it, and how to start identifying Ragas by ear. If you have a background in Western music, you will find many concepts click quickly.
You will need a computer and a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Free options like GarageBand (Mac) or free tiers of industry tools work fine to start. We will guide you on exactly what you need during your first session based on your current setup and budget.
Yes — this is one of the primary profiles we teach. The course covers the complete vocal chain from recording to final mix: EQ, compression, pitch correction, reverb and spatial effects, de-essing, and blending vocals into a backing track. By the end, you will have the skills to produce release-quality vocal recordings from your own home setup.

We accept international payments via bank transfer, PayPal, and other widely available methods. Payment details will be confirmed when you enrol. We work with students from around the world and are flexible about finding a payment method that works in your region.
Yes — session times are agreed upon when you enrol. We accommodate students across different time zones including Pakistan Standard Time (PKT), India Standard Time (IST), UK (GMT/BST), Eastern Time (EST/EDT), and others. Our scheduling is flexible and we will always find a time that fits into your week.
Life happens — we understand this completely. If you need to reschedule a session, simply let us know in advance and we will find an alternative time. Missed sessions with advance notice are rescheduled at no extra cost. We ask for at least 24 hours notice where possible.
A stable broadband connection with at least 10 Mbps download/upload speed is sufficient for clear video calls. You will need a webcam and microphone — most laptops have these built in. For piano classes, positioning your camera so your instructor can see your hands clearly will make sessions significantly more productive.
